Privateers Sink Mustangs in ECFC Action October 21, 2017 | Football NEWTON, Mass. -- The Mount Ida football team was unable to hold on to a first half lead and fell to the visiting Privateers of Maritime (N.Y) 21-13 in Saturday afternoon action at Alumni Field. David Nabs Defensive Player of the Week Honors October 16, 2017 | General News NEWTON, Mass. -- Mount Ida senior linebacker Josh David (Sandown, N.H.) was named Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) defensive player of the week following his 18-tackle performance in the win over Dean College. A defensive captain, David has filled the stat-sheet all season, but this weekend made his mark on the record books with the most tackles of his career and tying the all-time Mustang record of 18. Strong Defensive Effort Leads Mustangs Past Bulldogs October 14, 2017 | Football FRANKLIN, Mass. -- In a contest that saw almost every statistical category point in favor of Dean College, it was Mount Ida who escaped with a 14-7 win in Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) action on Saturday afternoon at Lippert Field. The Mustangs struggled to move the ball consistently on the afternoon, but were able to capitalize in key situations throughout the contest.
