NEWTON, Mass. -- Freshman De'Andre Goldson-Fisher (Springfield, Mass.) had an incredibly efficient offensive performance on Saturday afternoon, and he was recognized as the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) Rookie of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday.
Goldson-Fisher torched the Springfield College defense for 74 yards on just seven carries, an average of 10.6 yards per rush. He also caught one pass for four yards and found the end zone on a 21 yard run early in the fourth quarter to cut into the Mustang deficit.
After a bye this week, the Mustangs (1-2) will host Gallaudet University on September 30th in their ECFC opener. That game kicks off at 12 pm at Alumni Field.
