Mustangs Run Wild at Elms College Invite

CHICOPEE, Mass. – The Mount Ida College men's and women's cross country teams took to the road on Saturday and competed at the Elms College Invitational.

The women scored an 18th place team finish, while the men's team finished 12th overall.

Jabari Bradley (Farmingdale, N.Y.) topped the finishers for the men, taking 73rd place while finishing the 8k course in a time of 36:44. He was followed by JT Hoyt (Westfield, Mass.), whose 42:44 time placed him 85th in the field. Also scoring points for Mount Ida were Cole Davis (Chester, N.H.) (43:54), Erik Berman (Montclair, N.J.) (44:43) and Matt Wilson (Salem, Mass.) (46:22).

On the women's side, Nicole Keenan placed 72nd overall with a time of 25:16 to pace the Mustangs. Amelia Bothel (Cape Elizabeth, Maine), who finished the 5k course in a time of 26:12, took 85th place in the field of 129 runners.

Senior Kirsten Guerrero (Fairfield, Conn.) was the third finisher for Mount Ida, taking 109th place with a time of 28:38. She was closely followed by Molly Sheppard (Brookhaven, N.Y.), who finished in 29:00 flat, Steph Kehoe (29:03), and Emily Kendall (Stoneham, Mass.) (33:01).

The Mustangs will travel south to Community College of Rhode Island on October 5th to take part in the CCRI Invitational.
