NASHUA, N.H. – Mount Ida College opened their non-conference women's volleyball tri-match with a 3-0 sweep of Southern Vermont College before dropping their second match 3-1 to hosts Daniel Webster College for a split of their two games on Saturday afternoon at Mario vagge Gym.

The Mustangs won by scores of 25-14, 25-13 and 25-15 to snap their five-game losing streak.
Freshman Kristy Walton (Fairhaven, Mass.) led the way with 11 kills and senior Taylor Davis (Machiasport, Maine) and junior Alysha Dunbar (Quincy, Mass.) each posted 13 assists in the victory, while senior Kelcey Koolman (Bedford, N.H.) had the same number of digs.
The Green and White hit .253 as a team, getting nine more kills from junior Molly Alkinburg (Port Deposit, Md.) and five points from Mary Kate Reidy (Agawam, Mass.), who also added four service aces and nine digs in the win.
Brin Goldman and Alycia Stevens tallied four kills and eight digs apiece to lead the Mountaineers (1-7) and Sheilani Kaleopa put up seven assists.

The host Eagles secured a sweep of their tri-match with a four set win over Mount Ida, who won the first set 26-24 before falling in the next three sets, 25-18, 25-22, 25-22.
Reidy had a career high 14 kills to go with 10 digs, and Davis had 24 of the Mustang's 38 assists. Dunbar added nine more of those assists, six kills and 13 digs, while Koolman had five aces and added 18 more digs and Lauren Nathan (Atkinson, N.H.) pitched in 12 digs in a defensive effort.
Walton tallied eight more kills and Alkinburg had six kills and was in on two blocks.
Daniel Webster (2-8) was paced by nine kills from Madeline Roulier, who also had nine digs, while Meaghan Six led all players with 20 digs and Nicole Beard put up 25 assists.
The Mustangs (4-6) return home for a single non-conference game on Tuesday when they host Newbury at 6:00 pm at Mount Ida Athletic Center.
