WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL DROPS BOTH ENDS OF GNAC TRI-MATCH

The Mount Ida College women's volleyball team dropped both ends of a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) tri-match at Johnson & Wales University Saturday afternoon. 

The Mustangs fell in a 3-1 loss in their first match of the day against Norwich University by scores of 25-20, 25-15, 28-30 and 25-13. 

In the finale against the hosting Wildcats it ended in the same result falling in a 3-1 loss by scores of 25-20, 26-24, 17-25 and 25-17 going 0-2 on the day.

Mount Ida falls to an overall record of 11-10 slumping to a league slat of 4-5. 

In the opening match against the Cadets, the Mustangs were led by Senior Rachelle Gilbert (Corunna, IN/Dekalb) had a team-best eight kills and 14 digs in the loss for Mount Ida while senior Cody Fusco (San Francisco, CA/San Francisco Waldorf) added 15 set assists and 17 digs for the Mustangs.
 
In the final match of the day against the hosts, Gilbert paced Mount Ida with 13 kills and 27 digs while junior Jennifer Ferreira (Shirley, MA/Ayer) added 13 kills and 15 digs in the setback for the Mustangs.

The Mustangs will travel to non-conference Salem State University Thursday evening with game time slated for 7:00 p.m.
