The Mount Ida College women's volleyball team captured a 3-0 sweep victory over hosting Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) member Albertus Magnus College Saturday afternoon in New Haven, Connecticut by scores of 25-12, 25-19, and 25-11. 

Mount Ida, who have captured their past two matches, improve to 9-7 overall with a league standing at 3-2. 

The Mustangs were led offensively by junior hitter Jennifer Ferreira (Shirley, MA/Ayer) with eight kills on 20 attempts along with three digs.  Senior captain Rachelle Gilbert (Corunna, IN/Dekalb) chipped in seven kills with only one error on 20 attempts chipping it 10 digs as well.  Freshman middle hitter Shay Collins (Londonderry, NH/Londonderry) added five kills and two solo blocks.  Senior captain and setter Cody Fusco (San Francisco, CA/San Francisco Waldorf) dished out 14 assists along with two service aces while freshman setter Nicole Piexoto (New Bedford, MA/New Bedford) added 10 assists. 

The Mustangs will host non-league foe Daniel Webster College Thursday night with game time slated for 6:00 p.m.
