The Mount Ida College women's volleyball team dropped their second consecutive non-conference loss this past Saturday to the hands of UMASS-Dartmouth by scores of 25-19, 25-13, and 25-17.  The Mustangs fall to 0-2 overall and have yet to play a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) game.

Mount Ida was led by junior captain Rachelle Gilbert (Corunna, IN/Dekalb) with seven kills, nine digs, and two block assists.   Senior captain Chelsea Darnell (Dublin, OH/Dublin Scioto) added six kills while sophomore defensive specialist Alexa Piekarski (Rye, NH/Portsmouth) chipped in 12 digs. 

Sophomore middle blockers Christine Gallart (Germantown, MD/St. John's College HS) and Devyn Frank (Mystic, CT/Fitch) added four kills apiece with Gallart chipped in two solo blocks.
