Mount Ida junior attack Kyle Ton was named as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week on Monday morning for his efforts in the Mustangs’ 12-9 setback to New England College last Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field.
A native of Norwich, Conn. and a graduate of Norwich Free Academy, Ton netted five goals and an assist for six points on the day, as he also collected a pair of ground balls and caused a turnover during the contest. Kyle leads Mount Ida in scoring through four outings to date with 11 goals and five assists for 16 points, as three of his tallies (two up, one down) have come in man-advantage situations.
Head Coach Andrew Fink’s squad returns to action on Tuesday afternoon when the Mustangs continue a four-match homestand by entertaining Gordon in a non-league clash at Alumni Field beginning at 3:30 p.m. EDT.
