NEWTON, Mass. -- Freshman attack Chad Coehlo of the Mount Ida College men's lacrosse team was named this week's Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week.  This is the first time Coehlo has amassed a conference award in any capacity.

Coehlo notched five goals in two games this week, including a hat trick at New England College and pair of goals in a GNAC win against Johnson and Wales.  Coehlo also caused three turnovers and picked up a pair of ground balls.

Currently, Coehlo is second on the team with eight goals and tied for third with three assists on the young season.

The Mount Ida College men's lacrosse team will be back in action on Wednesday afternoon on Alumni Field against conference foe Rivier University with game time slated for 3:30 p.m.
