NEWTON, Mass. – A massive road construction project at Exit 19 on I-95 in both the north and south directions will impact anyone travelling to Mount Ida College this Saturday for the 12:00 pm football game between the Mustangs and the SUNY Maritime Privateers.
Here is what you need to know if you are travelling and how you can avoid this construction.
- There will be road closures beginning at 8pm Friday and continuing until 3pm Sunday.
- Fans attending the game should allow for extra travel time.
We are suggesting that anyone traveling to the game in passenger cars, vans (no buses) follows these directions:
Travelling from the South:
Follow I-95 North into Massachusetts, continue on I-95 North at the I-95/I-93 exchange. Take exit 15A onto Route 1 North. Follow Route 1 North as it becomes the VFW Parkway. Turn left onto Baker Street. Baker Street becomes Dedham Street. Turn left onto Carlson Avenue, which is the entrance to Mount Ida.
Travelling from the West:
Exit I-90 (Mass Pike) at the I-95 exchange and take I-95 south. Exit onto route 9 East. Take Newton Centre / West Roxbury Exit (Parker Street). At the top of the ramp, turn right onto Parker Street. At the end of Parker Street, turn left onto Dedham Street. At the second traffic light, turn right onto Carlson Avenue. Look for Mount Ida College in one-quarter of a mile.
