MARSHFIELD, Mass. - The Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) has formally released the conference's new logo, the first step in a broader rebrand of the conference.
"The ECFC is excited for its new look and is extremely satisfied with the outcome of the design process," said Commissioner Katie Boldvich. "The new mark is a great step forward for the conference as the league moves toward building a stronger identity."
The league's Athletic Directors selected the logo from several other designs with input from member coaches and sports information directors.
"We are all very excited to unveil a new logo as we prepare for another great season of ECFC football," added ECFC Director's Chair & Mount Ida College Athletic Director Matt Burke. "Our league continues to grow and this logo is another step in the process as we build our brand and league recognition."
"I'd like to thank all of our league Directors for their guidance as well as our Coaches and Sports Information Directors for their collaboration with this project," said Boldvich. "I would also like to give a special thanks to Russell Brennen of Brennen Creative who provided our group with first-rate design options and service throughout the process."
In addition to the new logo, the ECFC's conference website is also being revamped to provide a more modern and sleek design. The new look will give the league's Players of the Week more prominence and also have a greater focus on social media and video. The new website will launch prior to kick-off.
Mount Ida will kick off their 2016 football season at 6:00 pm on Friday, September 2nd when they play host to UMass Dartmouth under the lights at Alumni Field.
