The Mount Ida College women's tennis team dropped their first match of the season to visiting non-conference Becker College by a score of 6-3 on Monday afternoon. The Mustangs fall to 2-1 overall on the season with their first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match coming up Saturday.
Mount Ida freshman Elizabeth Olszewski (Granville, MA) and sophomore Amy Warner (Liverpool, NY) captured a number one doubles victory over Hawk freshman Latasha Smith (Northampton, MA) and senior Megan Nessen (Levittown, PA) by a score of 8-5. Olszewski and sophomore Kayla Horton (Brockton, MA) were the only two Mustangs to capture victories in singles competition.
