The Mount Ida College women's tennis program captured a 7-2 non-conference victory in the 2011 season opener Thursday afternoon in Newton, Massachusetts against visiting Lesley University.

Sophomore Kayla Horton (Brockton, MA) and junior Elyse Horton (Brockton, MA) captured victories in their respective singles matches. Sophomore Amy Warner (Liverpool, NY) and freshman Elizabeth Olszewski (Granville, MA) snatched a win in first doubles. There were two default wins for the Mustangs.

The Mustangs will host non-conference Regis College Saturday afternoon starting at 12 noon.
