NEWTON, Mass. – In her final season of play, Mount Ida senior forward Briana Tomaselli (Warwick, R.I.) has been selected to the Third Team of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Conference team for the 2013 season.
Tomaselli, who led the Mustangs in scoring for the second consecutive year, knocked in ten goals and added three assists for 23 points on the season. She was tied for fifth in the GNAC in goals, and was ninth in overall scoring.
In just two years in a Mustang jersey since transferring from Newbury College, Tomaselli's offensive ability launched her into the career record books for Mount Ida program history. In two seasons, she scored 24 goals, good for fifth all time, and tallied 52 points, seventh most in school history. She is third all-time in goals per game (0.71), and has attempted more shots on goal per game (2.21) than any other player that has worn the Green and White.
Joining Tomaselli in end of the year GNAC recognition is freshman defender Libby Andreasen (Gorham, Maine), who was selected by the conference as Mount Ida's representative on the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
