NEWTON, Mass. – For the second time in her rookie campaign Mount Ida freshman midfielder Rebecca Beaulieu (Weare, N.H.) has earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week honors. Beaulieu was awarded the honor during the first week of GNAC awards back in the first week of March.
Beaulieu had three strong games this week for the Mustangs, who went 2-1. The rookie notched five goals in a non-conference win over Fitchburg State and also scored three times and added an assist in a GNAC win over Anna Maria. For the week, Beaulieu racked up 11 points and won 18 draw controls, five each in two GNAC games and eight against Fitchburg.
The Mustangs return to conference action when they travel to New Haven, Connecticut on Tuesday afternoon to take on Albertus Magnus with game time slated for 3:30 p.m. Mount Ida returns to the confines of Alumni Field on Thursday at 4:00 when they play host to Bay Path.
