NEWTON, Mass. -- Mount Ida College freshman midfielder Rebecca Beaulieu (Weare, N.H.) was named GNAC (Great Northeast Athletic Conference) Rookie of the Week after opening her college career against MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).  This is Beaulieu's first career GNAC award.

Beaulieu opened her Mount Ida career with four goals in a tough non-conference road matchup against MIT.  She scored on all four of her shot attempts, while also grabbing four ground balls, winning a draw control, and causing one turnover.

The Mount Ida women's lacrosse team will be back in action on Tuesday, March 4th against CCC (Commonwealth Coast Conference) member Curry College with game time slated for 4:00 p.m.  The Mustangs home opener is Wednesday, March 12th versus the Vikings of Salem State University with game time set for 3:30 p.m.
