The Mount Ida College women's lacrosse team dropped their fourth overall loss in non-league action Thursday evening against hosting Framingham State University falling 16-8. The Mustangs trailed by four goals (7-3) at the midway point and could not keep pace with the Rams high powered offensive attack leading to their demise.
Mount Ida falls to an overall record of 1-4 remaining at 1-1 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play after capturing their first league bid against Rivier College last weekend in a 19-11 romping.
Mount Ida was led offensively by sophomore captain Molly Sheppard (Brookhaven, NY/Bellport) and freshman attacker Amanda Bowen (Randolph, VT/Randolph Union) was three goals each. Junior Alexandria Milot (Tiverton, RI/Tiverton) chipped in two goals and an assist while sophomore Kayla Bravo (East Providence, RI/East Providence) added three dishes.
