The Mount Ida College men's volleyball team dropped their second consecutive loss to hosting Rivier College this past Thursday falling 3-0 to the defending Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) champions by scores of 17-25, 23-25, and 20-25 in Nashua, New Hampshire. The Mustangs fall to 1-9 overall and drop to 1-6 in the conference standings.
Mount Ida was led offensively by senior captain Thomas Belton (Springfield, MA/Springfield Central) added a game high 18 kills on 39 attempts with only five errors also added seven digs. Sophomore hitter Spencer Hastings (Orlando, FL/Timber Creak) chipped in five kills on 19 attempts also adding seven digs. Senior setter Shane Wilson (Gloucester, MA/Gloucester) dished out 22 assists.
