The Mount Ida College men's volleyball team dropped their second consecutive Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) last Thursday to nationally ranked Emmanuel College (14th in AVCA Division III Pre-season Poll) 3-0 by scores of 25-11, 25-19, and 25-8.  The Mustangs fall to an overall record of 0-2 that mirrors the same in conference competition. 

Mount Ida was led by a team high nine kills on 21 attempts from junior Thomas Belton (Springfield, MA/Springfield Central) along with six digs while fellow hitter sophomore Spencer Hastings (Orlando, FL/Timber Creak) added four kills and nine digs along with a solo block.  Senior setter Shane Wilson (Gloucester, MA/Gloucester) dished out 16 assists in the effort.
