Matt Gill (Winfield, KS/Garden City C.C.) took a cross from the right hand side and shot to the middle of the goal to give Mount Ida College (7-4-1, 3-2-0 Great Northeast Athletic Conference) a 4-3 victory over Emerson College (9-4-1, 2-3-0 GNAC) in men's soccer action.  Gill's goal came 4:36 into the overtime stanza off an assist from Hermes Lima (West Roxbury, MA/West Roxbury).

Emerson had tied the score with the final two goals of regulation when Amadeus Junqueira (Sr., Austin, Texas) took a cross from Sam Perzanowski (So., Rutland, Vt.) and shot from the middle of the field off the right post in the 83rd minute. Five minutes earlier the Lions had pulled to within one when Will Sagar (Sr., Arlington, Va.) scored on a penalty kick.

Mount Ida led off the scoring inthe 11th minute when Adam Jensen (Boston, MA/Worcester Academy/Northeastern) broke away down the left side and buried the ball inthe right side of the net off Emerson goalkeeper Jonas Imbert (Jr., Taunton, Mass.). The Lions knotted the score less than 10 mintues later when Sagar scored on a breakaway of his own.

The Mustangs opened up the game's largest lead with two goals in the space of 54 seconds about a third of the way into the second half.  Jean Demorcy (Jersey City, NJ/Ferris)scored off a missed header following a corner kick with an assist to Gill.  Mount Ida's third goal came from Jensen off an assist from Gill.

Kevin DosSantos (Cumberland, RI/Cumberland/C.C.R.I.) had a dozen saves for the Mustangs, while Imbert stopped two shots for Emerson.
