NEWTON, Mass. – The Mount Ida men's basketball team and coaching staff will team up with the American Cancer Society and participate in the Coaches vs. Cancer initiative this weekend.
During the Mustangs' game against Lasell on Saturday, February 13, fans will have an opportunity to take part in fund-raising activities that will benefit the life-saving work of the American Cancer Society and its Coaches vs. Cancer initiative. Fans are asked to bring donations and drop them off in the lobby on their way into the basketball game.
In addition, the coaching staff of both the Mustangs and Lasers will don sneakers on the sidelines to help raise awareness in the fight against cancer.
Donations will be collected on-site to benefit the American Cancer Society, and the game tips at 1:00pm. We hope you will come out and support your team for this great cause because with everyone's help there will someday be a world with less cancer and more birthdays.
