NEWTON, Mass. -- After just three games as a member of the Mount Ida College men's basketball team, Ethan Dujon (Warwick, R.I.) is already making his presence felt.
Dujon was selected as the first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week of 2014 after registering three straight games of double-digit scoring.
He broke into the Mustang starting lineup in his second game, after coming off the bench to lead Mount Ida with 14 points in his debut against Rivier.
In his first start, he put up ten points and had a huge block in a home conference win over Emmanuel, before pouring in 17 points and collecting three assists as the Mustangs fell 83-81 in double overtime at Lasell.
Dujon averaged nearly 14 points over three games, along with almost five rebounds and a steal, block and assist per game.
Ethan and the Mustangs will be on the road this Wednesday evening at Saint Joseph's (ME) before coming home for a rivalry game on Saturday against the Lasers of Lasell.
Make sure to pack the Mount Ida College Athletic Center on Saturday at 1:00 pm to help cheer on Mount Ida against their cross-town and conference foes.
