The Mustangs led only once the entire contest at the 13 minute mark up 16-14 after a successful trifecta by junior Keith Jones (Boston, MA/Lake Brantley (FL)/MASS. Bay C.C.). From there the visitors piled on a double-digit advantage eventually riding out a 96-78 victory.
Mount Ida was led by junior captain Isiah Benjamin (Windsor, CT/The Masters School) with a team high 20 points and five boards. Jones added 18 points while junior Travis Hillery (Tyngsboro, MA/Central Catholic) chipped in 18 points. The Mustangs will host GNAC foe Suffolk University in a crucial contest with playoff implications with tip-off slated for 1:00 p.m.
