GAMWELL TAKES HOME TWO FIRST PLACE RIBBONS

GAMWELL TAKES HOME TWO FIRST PLACE RIBBONS

The Mount Ida College women’s equestrian team hosted their first home show as part of their new region at Riverwind Farm in Pembroke, Massachusetts on October 31, 2010.  The Mustangs held their own when competing with tougher top schools like Stonehill College, Boston University, Tufts University, and Boston College.

After taking 5th at Boston University show, the Mustangs headed home to Riverwind to set up for the home show for the next morning.

Throughout the day the Mustangs showed their competitive spirit and took control of the "home field advantage", taking an early lead and winning the show as High Point College.

Anna Gamwell (East Fryeburg, Maine/East Fryeburg) was the only rider to take two first place ribbons for fences and flat and thus became the High Point Rider.

The Mustangs will travel to Boston College this coming weekend for their final show of the fall season.
