Preseason Instagram Takeover Contest to Launch This Weekend

NEWTON, Mass. -- If you are a fall athlete at Mount Ida College, get ready for your opportunity to takeover the athletics social media account!

With football already on campus and the majority of other fall sports set to check in in the next few days, Mount Ida athletics is excited to announce the 2016 Mustang Preseason Instagram takeover contest.

This event will give each of our fall season teams the opportunity to take-over the Mount Ida athletics Instagram account (@mtidaathletics) for one day, giving fans an inside look at your team on the field, in the dorms and dining hall, out on team excursions and team bonding activities, and building chemistry with your old and new teammates, as well as showing off the beauty of the Mount Ida campus.

At the end of the week, the team with the most unique and engaging takeover will win a pizza party for their entire team courtesy of the Mount Ida Athletic department!

Envelopes containing your team's takeover date and unique password will be distributed to one team member during the check-in process.

Each team's takeover will begin at Midnight at the beginning of your appointed day and will end at midnight the same evening. You will have 24 hours before your unique password expires.

Each team must post a minimum of five pictures in order to be eligible for the competition. You cannot post more than 15 photos throughout the day, so make sure you and your teammates are picking the best ones.

This is a team event! You should share your team's password with all of the members of your team and any of them can post photos to the Instagram account. However, remember that you may not post more than 15 photos as a group throughout the 24 hours. We want the most unique and creative photos from your team, not just the most.
