Harris, who became the first ever football player inducted into the Hall-of-Fame, earned his bachelor’s degree in American Studies in 2007. During his time as a student, Harris was a member of the Mount Ida football team for four seasons under the direction of former head coach Ed Sweeney. As a running back, Harris became the first player in program history to reach 3,000 career rushing yards, to only surpass that mark as a senior, to become the first player in program history to reach 4,000 career rushing yards. Harris finished his career as a Mustang with 4,061 rushing yards which ranks him second all-time in program history behind current senior running back Johrone Bunch. Harris is also second all-time in program history with 31 rushing touchdowns and to this day still holds the record for most net yards rushing in a game with 377 yards in a game against Becker College where he also crossed the goal line four times, also a record that held up until Bunch broke it on two different occasions through the past four years. Harris was a two-time Mustang Most-Valuable-Player in 2005 and again in 2006 and was also a recipient of the prestigious Boston Globe Gold Helmet award that he received after his impressive individual performance against Becker in 2005.

Osinga earned her Bachelor’s degree in Equine Management in 2006.  During her time as a student, Osinga was a member of the women’s equestrian team as team captain from 2000-2001 and again from 2004-2006 after a brief hiatus from her studies.  From 2000-2006 Osinga won about 40 blue ribbons and six high point rider championships in impressive fashion.  Osinga would capture High Point Riders championships in 2000 and 2004.  She would win three High Point Rider titles in 2005 along with a Regional and Zone championship that same year.  Also in 2005 Osinga would capture a Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Reserve National title adding to her most successful year as a rider.  Her senior year (2006) Becky would win the Regional championship and capture one final High Point Rider championship rounding out her career.  Osinga has now been the Assistant Coach for the Mount Ida women’s equestrian team since 2006 under the wing of 11th year Head Coach Laura Doleski.  Osinga was named Most Improved Rider at the end of the 2000-2001 seasons and would be honored with Most Valuable Rider after 2001-2002.

Congratulations to Becky and Antwan on their induction!
