Mount Ida College senior quarterback Scott Drosendahl (East Aurora, NY/East Aurora) has been named this week’s Eastern Collegiate Football Conference’s (ECFC) Offensive Player-of-the-Week and has also been selected as Mustang-of-the-Week.  This is the first time Drosendahl has been honored with either award this season. 

Drosendahl completed 11-of-13 passes for 155 yards and a touchdown while also running for two scores Saturday afternoon to lift the Mount Ida College football program to a 22-12 victory over Plymouth State University in non-conference football action at Currier Field for their second straight victory to start the 2012 season.

The Mustangs improve to an overall record of 2-0 and have yet to compete in an Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) contest this year.

The Mustangs will travel to non-league foe Springfield College next Saturday with game time slated for 12 p.m. It was also be homecoming weekend for the Pride.
