Senior forward Matt Bennett (Rochester, NH/Spaulding) netted 22 points, nine caroms, and six steals in an 86-79 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) loss to visiting Norwich University this past Saturday.  Bennett, who ranks fifth in the GNAC in scoring and ninth in rebounds, has boosted the Mustangs to a 6-3 record so far this season with solid overall play.  He also leads his team in scoring averaging 17.9 points a game and rebounds with 7.7 a game.  The Mount Ida men's basketball team will travel to GNAC foe Emerson College this Tuesday for round two with the Lions after a devastating buzzer beater loss back on November 22.
