Junior forward Matt Bennett (Rochester, NH/Spaulding) combined for 50 points and 20 rebounds in two games against Eastern Nazarene College (24 points, 11 boards) and Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) foe Emerson College (26 points, 9 boards) to lead the Mount Ida College men's basketball team to a 1-1 record this past week. Bennett, who had been sidelined due to a foot injury missing the first two games of the year, came back extremely strong to dominate in both contests he played in. Bennett is now the leader in points (25.0) and rebounds (10.0) per game so far this season for his team. The Mustangs have a hold off through Thanksgiving break and will start action back up on Tuesday, December 2 at the Mount Ida athletic center against the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts starting at 6:00 p.m.
