Senior guard Bruce Cary (Standish, ME/Bonny Eagle) returned to the Mustangs from the injury list helping the Mount Ida College men's basketball team capture a 2-1 record this past week in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play. Cary, who is an integral part of the team's make-up with his solid overall play, guided Mount Ida to their second and third GNAC victories of the season over Suffolk University and Rivier College. Against the Rams, he notched 11 points with seven rebounds, three steals, and a block in an 81-79 last second tip-in victory on Thursday night in Newton, Massachusetts. Two days later, the Mustangs traveled to Nashua, New Hampshire to visit the Raiders who they hosted and beat (76-63) a week prior. Cary was again outstanding with 18 points and six rebounds going 2-2 from downtown eventually winning 80-71. Mount Ida, whose destiny will be determined in the coming weeks, will travel to Norwich University this coming Tuesday for another GNAC showdown starting at 7:00 p.m.
