NEWTON, Mass. -- Junior Mat Pils has been honored by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) as the men's soccer goalkeeper of the week.

In an undefeated start to the season for the Mustangs, Pils has posted back-to-back shutouts and has held opponents scoreless for 200 minutes of play. He made four stops in Mount Ida's 1-0 win over Regis in the season opener, then saved five shots through regulation and two overtimes as the Mustangs played to a scoreless draw with Lesley on Sunday afternoon.

The Mustangs (1-0-1) will be back on Alumni Field for a non-conference game on Thursday afternoon at 4:00 pm against the Hawks of Roger Williams University.
