Mustangs Place at GNAC Cross Country Championships
STANDISH, Maine – Mount Ida's men's and women's cross country teams travelled to Saint Joseph's College (Maine) on Saturday afternoon to compete at the final event of the year, the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) championships.

The men's team secured a sixth place finish in the conference, while the women took a 10th place showing in the final event.

Danny Ortiz and Jabari Bradley (Farmingdale, N.Y.) led the way for the men in the 8k course, showing 34th and 35th respectively. Ortiz finished in a time of 36:55, with Bradley right behind him in 37:19.

Chad Coehlo (Salem, Mass.), Cole Davis (Chester, N.H.), and Matt Wilson (Salem, Mass.) finished right in line with each other, taking 42nd through 44th place.

On the women's side, Emily Bernotas (Sunderland, Mass.) finished 48th overall, with a time of 25:19, while Nicole Keenan was 51st in 26:01.

Amelia Bothel (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) also scored for Mount Ida, placing 63rd in a time of 28:59, while Molly Sheppard Brookhaven, N.Y.) was just behind her in 66th place (30:33).

Amanda Mullens (36:56, 73rd place) rounded out the scoring for Mount Ida's runners.
