MILTON, Mass. -- Mount Ida College earned a 3-0 victory over host Curry College in a non-conference women's volleyball match on Tuesday evening at Meyerhof Gym.
With the win by scores of 25-23, 25-19, and 25-21, Mount Ida gets themselves back over .500 with a 5-4 record, while Curry drops to 2-2.
Mary Kate Reidy (Agawam, Mass.) had 10 kills and Kristy Walton (Fairhaven, Mass.) added four kills and seven digs, along with two of Mount Ida's four service aces.
Freshman Alexis Bell (Salem, Conn.) put up 14 assists and matched Walton's defensive effort with seven digs herself.
Senior Molly Alkinburg (Port Deposit, Md.) added four kills and a block and a half in the win.
The Colonels were paced by eight kills from Nicole Rice (Woburn, Mass.) and eleven assists by Makayla Hughs (Franklin, N.H.), while Courtney Carroll (Fairhaven, Mass.) led all players with a game-high 17 digs.
Mount Ida heads to Framingham State on Thursday for a 7:00 PM non-conference affair.
Curry is at Becker at the same time.
