WOMEN'S TENNIS CLAWED BY WILDCATS SUNDAY AFTERNOON

The Mount Ida College women's tennis team surrendered an 8-1 loss to visiting New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) opponent Bay Path College on Sunday afternoon in Newton, Massachusetts.  The Mustangs fall to an overall record of (1-6) falling for the 4th consecutive match, while they maintain an (0-1) record in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play. 

Doubles:

1. Lizzie Olszewski and Kayla Horton (Mount Ida) lost to Symone Watson and Stephanie Morin (Bay Path) 8-6.

2. Danielle Riley and Patti-Ann Doucette (Mount Ida) lost to Teanna Montoya and Abigail Janneke (Bay Path) 8-1.

3. Julia Pagliuca and Despina Najarian (Mount Ida) lost to Taylor Wood and Brittany Walsh (Bay Path) 8-0.

Singles:

1. Lizzie Olszewski (Mount Ida) lost to Symone Watson (Bay Path) 6-2, 6-1

2. Kayla Horton (Mount Ida) defeated Stephanie Morin (Bay Path) 7-5, (12-10 super tie-breaker)
 
3. Danielle Riley (Mount Ida) lost to Brittany Walsh (Bay Path) 6-0, 6-0

4. Patti-Ann Doucette (Mount Ida) lost to Teanna Montoya (Bay Path) 6-0, 6-0

5. Julia Pagliuca (Mount Ida) lost to Taylor Wood (Bay Path) 6-1, 6-0

6. Despina Najarian (Mount Ida) lost to Abigail Janneke (Bay Path) 6-0, 6-0 

The Mustangs will travel to GNAC opponent Emmanuel College on Monday, September 24th with match time slated for 6:30 p.m.
