NASHUA, N.H. -- Rivier senior forward Maggie Cohoon (Derry, N.H.) scored in each half and Rivier University handed the Mount Ida College women's soccer team a 2-0 loss on Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action.
Cohoon scored at either end of the game, opening the scoring just 2:40 into the first half and then adding an insurance marker with just over ten minutes to play. She now leads the team with six goals as the Raiders (3-4-2, 2-3 GNAC) sent the Mustangs to their second straight conference loss (3-7, 1-4 GNAC).
Freshman AnnaMarie Seiler (Biddeford, Maine) made eleven saves for the Mustangs, who were outshot 18-10.
On the other side of the pitch, junior Lauren Goodspeed (Merrimack, N.H.) earned the shutouts with five saves of her own.
Colby Creteau (Nashua, N.H.) earned the assist on Cohoon's first goal, while the second goal came via a penalty kick opportunity.
Rivier looks to win their third straight game on October 5th when they head to Emmanuel for a 7:00 pm start.
Mount Ida looks to bounce back that same day when they play host to Albertus Magnus at 3:30 pm.
