WINTHROP, Mass. – Junior Isabelle Moody (Naugatuck, Conn.) has earned her first selection to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's soccer All-Conference Team.
Moody was selected to the Third Team at the forward position, after she moved there from her role as a defender midway through the 2014 season.
Once she moved to the front of the Mount Ida attack, she scored goals in five straight games, notching seven of her eight makers for the year in that time-span. Seven of her goals on the season came in conference play, good for fifth in the league, including scoring twice in a GNAC win over Norwich.
Her goals against Anna Maria and Wheelock were both game-winners, and she also scored a pair of goals while notching one of her two assists on the season to help Mount Ida pull even in their GNAC draw with Suffolk.
Moody was tied for ninth in the conference with 18 points on the season, and was fourth in the conference with 75 shots on the season.
Moody is the second consecutive Mount Ida striker to be named to the GNAC All-Conference team, joining Briana Tomaselli (Warwick, R.I.), who was also selected as a Third Team member last season.
Freshman defender Rachel Lambert (Lebanon, Conn.) was also recognized by the conference this season, as she was tabbed as Mount Ida's representative on the All-Sportsmanship team. Lambert appeared in 16 games and made the start in each of them in her first year on the Mustang back line.
The GNAC All-Conference teams are nominated by each school's Head Coach and voted by the other respective coaches in the conference.
