MILTON, Mass. -- Curry College scored a pair of goals on either side of halftime and handed Mount Ida a 4-0 defeat in non-conference action on Thursday evening.
Mount Ida (0-2) got eight saves from sophomore Rebecca Beaulieu (Weare, N.H.) but were outshot 27-9 on the evening and conceeded eight corner kicks without earning a corner chance of their own.
Maegan Hernberg (Eastford, Conn.) fired two shots on net, both forcing saves out of Morgan Stott, who had six stops in the win for Curry (2-0).
Kaitlyn Lima netted a pair of goals and an assist for Curry, opening the scoring 14:25 into the game, and then turning provider just 42 seconds later when she set up Meredith Keith.
Lima added another goal in the 77th minute, just over fifteen minutes after Stefanie Faucher had put the hosts 3-0 up with an unassisted tally.
The Mustangs will look to capitalize off of a home-field advantage when they return to Newton for their home opener on Saturday, a 1:00 pm tilt with Regis College.
