Craft comes to Mount Ida College from Chicago, IL after spending the last three years as a coach for the Chicago Fire Juniors, the official youth soccer club of the Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer.
Prior to his time in Chicago, Craft served two years as a Volunteer Assistant/Director of Soccer Operations at the College of the Holy Cross from 2012-2014. Crafts' best season on staff came in 2013 when the Crusaders made it to the Patriot League Conference final.
Before Holy Cross, Craft tallied 10 goals and 4 assists for 24 points during his four-year career at UMass Amherst from 2008-2012. Craft was also a part of the first UMass men's soccer team in school history to earn an at-large bid into the NCAA tournament. As a junior in 2010, he led the Minutemen with 7 goals and 16 points as he earned NSCAA All-Region accolades. Craft played in 71 career games with 66 starts, and captained the team his senior year.
A native of Worcester,Mass. Craft attended St. Peter Marian High School and graduated in 2008. He was a four-time All-Conference selection, two-time All-State and two-year captain. Craft graduated from UMass with a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Sociology in 2012. He holds a United States Soccer Federation “C” coaching license. He is also a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Craft will also be assuming duties as the assistant to the AD, as well as the game management supervisor.
