FINK/WIDELO PRESENT AT U.S. LACROSSE CONVENTION

Thursday, February 3, 2011 (Newton, Massachusetts) – For the third straight year the Mount Ida College men's lacrosse coaches, Andrew Fink and Chris Widelo, presented at the United States Lacrosse National Coaches' Convention in Baltimore, Maryland.

This year's topic was man-down defense.  During the 2010 season, the Mount Ida's men's lacrosse program was recognized for having the most effective man-down defense in all of Division III men’s lacrosse with a success rate of .907 percent.

“I’m extremely proud of the presentation on man-down defense during the convention,” said Mount Ida men’s lacrosse ninth year head coach Andrew Fink.  “I’ve had well over a hundred emails from coaches around the country about the entire presentation.  It’s been very rewarding.”

The presentation, held at the Baltimore Convention Center, attracted a standing room only crowd of over 180 high school and college coaches from across the country.  Following the hour long presentation, the coaching staff answered questions from the audience and discussed defensive strategy with many in attendance.
