Mustangs Tie Conference Win Mark by Beating Raiders
NASHUA, N.H. -- With today's 97-81 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) men's basketball win over Rivier University, Mount Ida College tied their program record with their tenth conference victory.
The Mustangs ( 14-7, 10-4 GNAC) match the 2009-10 team, who went 10-8 in GNAC play as the only teams to have doube digit league wins in a season. Mount Ida still has four GNAC games left in the regular season to try to break that mark.

Mount Ida's offensive output was guided by junior Kevin Connor's (Mansfield, Mass.) 13 points with classmate Joey DiFillippi (Bristol, Conn.) chipping in with 12 points. Sophomore Dennis Ross (Portland, Maine) came off the bench in this one and provided eleven points and three rebounds.

The Mustangs shot a blistering 63.6% from the field and 9-17 (52.9%) from behind the three-point line. It was the second best shooting performance in a game in Mount Ida history, and third best shooting effort percentage-wise from behind the three-point line.

Ethan Dujon
(Warwick, R.I.) and Errald Jordine (Stamford, Conn.) had nine points eacha nd combined for 13 rebounds, while junior Jayson Clark (Austin, Texas) dished out a team-high five assists. 

Rivier freshman Tristian Givens (Windsor, Conn.) led all scorers with a 32-point performance as he shot 9-for-20 from the floor and 5-12 from beyond the arc. Senior David Lorden (Pepperell, Mass.) had a solid game with 14 points and six rebounds and freshman Joshua L'Heureux (Dracut, Mass.) added nine points for the Raiders.

Rivier will return to GNAC action on Tuesday evening when they travel to Standish, Maine for a date with Saint Joseph's College. Mount Ida will also be back in conference play on Tuesday for their next contest as they host Albertus Magnus College.
