NEWTON, Mass. -- Thanks to the generosity of Mount Ida fans and coaching staff, this past Wednesday's Coaches vs Cancer game hosted by men's basketball raised $350 for the American Cancer Society.
Members of the coaching staff of Mount Ida and Lasell College wore sneakers as part of the "Suits and Sneakers" initiative and the Mustang football coaching staff collected donations in the lobby before the game while also giving out classic Mount Ida football uniforms to those who made contributions.
In addition, the football coaching staff matched the final total to double the donation to the American Cancer Society to help fund cancer research and awareness.
