Gaskins earned an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice and graduated with a 3.31 cumulative grade point average.

As a standout basketball player, Kevin was voted Captain of the squad and earned several honors, including an NJCAA All-New England First Team selection and two All-American nods (1994-95).
