Mount Ida College Alum David Shaw (South Boston, MA) ‘97-‘01 had an outstanding career as a Mustang men's basketball player.

Shaw was part of the first Mount Ida Men’s Basketball team to participate under NCAA Division III membership as part of the North Atlantic Conference (NAC). Shaw, who stands at 6’7, 210 lbs, is a South Boston, MA native who went on to play in the American Basketball Association (ABA) and teach Physical Education at South Boston High School.
