Osinga earned her Bachelor’s degree in Equine Management in 2006. During her time as a student, Osinga was a member of the women’s equestrian team and was team captain from 2000-2001 and again from 2004-2006 after a brief hiatus from her studies. 

From 2000-2006, Osinga won about 40 blue ribbons and six high point rider championships in impressive fashion.  She was named Most Improved Rider at the end of the 2000-2001 seasons and would be honored with Most Valuable Rider after 2001-2002. Osinga would capture High Point Riders championships in 2000 and 2004.  She would win three High Point Rider titles in 2005 along with a Regional and Zone championship.  That same season, Osinga would capture an Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Reserve National title, adding to her most successful year as a rider. 

Her senior year (2006), Osinga would win the Regional championship and capture one final High Point Rider championship rounding out her career.  Osinga began serving as the Assistant Coach for the Mount Ida women's equestrian team after her graduation in 2006.
